As a Business Developer with us, you will play a key role in creating business opportunities and building relationships that lead to the right projects – both today and for years to come.

The Role of Business Developer

We are looking for someone who thrives in operational work and wants to take a central role in developing our business within our Building Southeast division, based in Jönköping.

This is a role for you if you want to combine strategy with relationship building and work operationally close to the business in early stages where our projects are just beginning to take shape. There is another Business Developer on the division with whom you will work closely.

As a Business Developer, you work on identifying the right projects and creating the conditions for good business. You are close to the market and develop a good understanding of which projects lie ahead. Most of your time is spent on market and customer engagement, steering towards portfolio goals. Your role also includes participating in forums and sharing information from the business area and division, as well as reporting back to these forums.

You build long-term relationships, meet clients, and participate in early dialogues, often together with our Production Managers who later become representatives in the business and during our production phase. In this role, you report to the Division Manager with whom you also collaborate closely.

About the Building Southeast Division

Within Building Sweden, we build sustainable housing, offices, healthcare facilities, schools, sports facilities, and other public environments for both private and public clients. The Building Southeast division consists of approximately 150 employees and drives a wide variety of construction projects in the region. We are a strong player in the market, especially regarding larger and more complex projects.

Your Profile

To thrive and succeed in this role, you have good knowledge of the construction process, mastering the basics of contracting and commercial law, and are comfortable in bidding and negotiation contexts. We are looking for you who is a relationship-building and business-driven person with a solid understanding of the market, customers, and sales, enabling you to assess project opportunities and analyze market development.

Formally, we see that you have a relevant post-secondary education combined with many years of experience from the industry.

As a person, you are structured and confident in your competence. You have a feel for business and can prioritize the right customers and projects. You have a good ability to work long-term with relationships, profitability, and market development.

Additional Information

The position is a permanent employment with a start date as agreed. You are based at our office in Jönköping. Your colleagues are located at several of our offices within the division, and you will need to travel for work. The position requires a valid driver's license (Category B). This position is subject to background checks in accordance with NCC's safety culture.
