Readiness Coordinator at Kungsör Municipality
Do you want a broad and important role where your work makes a concrete difference? We are now looking for an engaged and structured readiness coordinator who wants to help develop Kungsör Municipality's work within crisis preparedness and civil defense.
As a readiness coordinator with us, you will become an important part of a small security unit where personal drive, responsibility, and collaboration are crucial. You will have a clear role and great opportunities to influence how the municipality's preparedness work develops. You work closely with the municipal management and operations with short decision-making paths and delegated responsibility. Your contribution is of direct significance to the municipality's ability to prevent, withstand, and handle disruptions, crises, and heightened readiness.
We offer a varied and meaningful role in a smaller municipality where your work is noticed. There is an opportunity for remote work to the extent that the operations allow and after agreement with your immediate supervisor. As an employee, you also have access to the municipality's health benefit with an annual contribution for training and health.
1 position.
Job Responsibilities
The assignment has an operation-oriented focus and plays a central role in strengthening the municipality's ability to maintain socially important activities during disruptions, peacetime crisis situations, and heightened readiness.
A main task is to lead, coordinate, and develop the municipality's business continuity management. You support operations in identifying critical dependencies and prioritized activities, analyzing the consequences of interruptions, and developing and monitoring continuity plans. You also coordinate the municipality's work with risk and vulnerability analysis (RSA) and contribute to ensuring that identified deficiencies are translated into concrete measures, plans, training, and exercises.
The assignment includes among other things:
- Monitoring the development of the proposed law on basic preparedness for municipalities and regions in the event of crisis and war (LKRB), analyzing what future requirements may mean for the municipality, and supporting the organization's preparations
- Developing, updating, and monitoring continuity plans, crisis plans, routines, and other governing documents
- Supporting operations in identifying socially important activities, critical dependencies, and prioritized measures
- Contributing to the development of the municipality's crisis organization and crisis management capability
- Planning, conducting, and monitoring training, exercises, and workshops
- Collaborating with, among others, the County Administrative Board, rescue services, police, region, neighboring municipalities, and other relevant actors
- Performing administrative and coordinating tasks within the preparedness and security area
Since the security unit is small, the role is broad. Tasks may therefore also occur within security protection, systematic fire safety work (SBA), and the Disaster Act (LSO).
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a preparedness-oriented education at the university level, or alternatively other education and/or experience that the employer considers equivalent and relevant. You must have the ability to lead processes and groups as well as develop analyses, decision support materials, and various types of governing documents, such as plans. Furthermore, you should have an understanding of public operations and the municipality's responsibility within crisis preparedness and civil defense. You must be able to express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A B-class driver's license is required.
Merits:
- Experience of working within crisis preparedness, business continuity management, risk and vulnerability analysis, security, or related areas
- Experience of leading or introducing business continuity management in an organization
- Experience of municipal RSA work
- Knowledge of LEH and the development of the proposed LKRB
- Knowledge of security protection
- Experience of crisis management, training and exercise activities, or total defense planning
- Experience of a similar assignment in a municipality, region, authority, or other socially important activity
You must be able to work in a structured and independent manner and have the ability to drive processes from analysis to implementation. You must be able to translate overarching requirements and complex issues into understandable and practically usable working methods. The role involves many contacts with managers, employees, and external collaboration partners. This requires you to be communicative, pedagogical, and service-oriented, as well as having an easy time building trusting relationships. You are confident in leading work groups, workshops, training, and exercises. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Send us your application and become an important part of Kungsör Municipality's work for safety, security, and readiness!
