The Planning and Finance Department provides support to the entire operational area of planning, finance, and procurement, both strategically and operationally. We work with operational and financial management through operational planning, internal control and monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, follow-up, and analysis. Within the procurement and purchasing area, we support the entire university's procurement process.

Job Description

Your duties as a Project Economist include supporting the university's operations with accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up, primarily for externally funded research projects.

The Project Economist will work close to the operations but will belong to a centrally located department. Within the department, there is ongoing work aimed at ensuring uniform and efficient working methods, with the introduction of additional system support currently underway.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in economics or equivalent as assessed by the employer,
• Some years of relevant experience in similar work,
• Good accounting knowledge,
• Proficiency in Excel,
• Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

For this position, the following are considered merits:

• Experience from financial work within the public sector,
• Experience of financial work within projects,
• Experience with the financial system Unit4-ERP (Agresso).
