Are you an experienced Project Manager with solid knowledge of payroll processes, Workday, and international transformation projects? We are now looking for a Project Manager who wants to drive global payroll implementations and change initiatives in a complex and dynamic environment.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading payroll implementation projects from start to finish, as well as driving local discovery activities for Payroll, Employee Life Cycle, and Time & Attendance across multiple countries.

You will work closely with HR, Finance, IT, external vendors, and the business to ensure successful implementations, efficient processes, and compliance with local regulations. The role reports functionally to the Global Payroll Transformation Lead, who holds overall program responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Lead payroll implementation projects from feasibility study to go-live and stabilization phase.
  • Conduct local workshops and discovery activities to map the current state and define future processes.
  • Responsible for project planning, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Create and monitor project plans, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Coordinate work between HR, Finance, IT, payroll vendors, and the business.
  • Drive the implementation of payroll systems, including integrations and data migration.
  • Ensure that payroll processes meet local legal requirements, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation of business requirements.
  • Responsible for testing activities such as SIT, UAT, parallel payroll runs, and error handling.
  • Manage risks, resources, budget, and dependencies.
  • Communicate project status to steering committees and other key stakeholders.
  • Support change management, training, and handover to the line organization.
  • Ensure successful project closure and transition to operations.
QualificationsRequirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management within Payroll or HR transformation.
  • Documented experience in payroll implementations within complex or global organizations.
  • Very strong experience with Workday.
  • Experience in building and implementing integrations between Workday and payroll systems.
  • Good understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance.
  • Experience working with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong ability to manage stakeholders and create engagement among different target groups.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Strada implementation.
  • Experience with divestments, carve-outs, or business separations.
