You will be based at the Command Regiment in Enköping and work closely together with another School Information Officer. Main Responsibilities

As a School Information Officer at the Command Regiment, you are employed as a soldier with the primary responsibility of visiting upper secondary schools and high schools in Uppland, Västmanland, and Södermanland to inform young people about the Swedish Armed Forces and the total defense. This may include topics such as conscription, military service, career paths, our core values, and why we have an armed forces.

You are responsible for contact with schools, booking meetings, and sometimes also acting as a representative for the Swedish Armed Forces at larger recruitment and attraction events.

Together with your colleagues in the communications department, you contribute to the production of content for our social channels and other communication activities. In addition to personal meetings, this involves photographing, filming, editing, and writing for our digital channels.

COMPETENCIES

Requirements

  • Completed and approved military service training with good references, no more than 5 years ago.
  • Manual B driver's license, travel during service occurs.
  • Swedish citizenship.
  • Very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Merits

  • Having completed your military service at the Command Regiment (though not a requirement).
  • Experience and interest in photographing, filming, and editing material.
  • Good computer skills with basic knowledge of the Office suite. Quick learner of new systems.
  • Group leader training and/or experience in leading youth activities.
  • Experience in using and producing content for social channels.
  • Experience in information and recruitment activities.
  • Conflict management (e.g., via training).

Other

Employment type: GSS/K (Group leaders, soldiers, and sailors with continuous service).

Temporary employment: Max 8 years (current rules for employees as GSS).

Employment level: Full-time. Duty during evenings and weekends may occur to a limited extent.

Start date: As soon as possible, by agreement.

The position involves conducting official travel, participating in training, and exercises in the wartime organization.
