Logistics Officer to the Logistics Unit Staff at 1631 Logistics Company, F 16
F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala Garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the 24/7/365 surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Swedish Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will become part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the international situation and Sweden's NATO membership. F 16 is growing, and we are now looking for new colleagues who want to join us on our development journey!
About the Unit
The 163rd Garrison Battalion consists of the Logistics Company, the Garrison Company, and soon also the Training Company. Together, they create the prerequisites for assigned units to focus on solving their main tasks. Logistics within NATO and the Swedish Armed Forces is divided into four main areas: supply, transport, medical services, and technical services.
The Logistics Company (formerly LogE Uppsala) leads the planning, implementation, and follow-up of logistics and support activities within the garrison. The Logistics Unit Staff functions as the company's planning and coordination function and provides operational support in supply, technical services, and transport services. The department includes several case handlers and officers who analyze, prepare, and follow up on matters within their functional areas.
Main Responsibilities
As a Logistics Officer at the Logistics Unit Staff, you work with all areas of logistics, but primarily with supply, focusing on war establishment and inventory resource planning. You plan, follow up, and, if necessary, provide training within the framework of your assigned tasks. You support the establishment of general directives and routines. You work together with other logistics officers and case handlers on the staff.
Within the Swedish Armed Forces, we always work as a team. Our organization is built on cooperation, adaptability, and a shared responsibility for the whole. This means that we are all ready to support each other, sometimes even outside our own competence and comfort zones. Therefore, as an employee, you may occasionally face new types of tasks. This is a natural part of working in the Swedish Armed Forces, which benefits both the agency and the employee's development, and you will never be given a task for which you do not have the prerequisites to handle.
