F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala Garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the 24/7, year-round surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Swedish Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will become part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the international situation and Sweden's NATO membership. About the Unit

The main task of F 16 A4 is to functionally manage internal logistics at the wing level over the long term and to provide decision support for F 16. The department includes functional positions that issue directives leading the wing's operations in areas such as technical services, supply, healthcare, transport services, and management. The department consists of both clerks and officers who analyze, prepare, and follow up on matters within their functional areas. A4 is the unit responsible to the Commander of F 16 to ensure that wartime units receive the correct logistical support in peace, crisis, or war, thereby maintaining and strengthening operational effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities

As a Logistics Officer at A4, you will work broadly with all areas of logistics at the wing, but primarily with supply. The position involves planning, preparation, and developing decision-making materials, as well as representing the department when necessary. The Logistics Officer also supports the establishment of general directives and routines. You will also work together with others within the entire staff to lead the wing forward.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Trained specialist officer with a logistics focus
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Category B driver's license
• Experience in leading and executing logistics and supply operations
• Previous experience from logistics positions

Work Location: Uppsala. F 16 also has operations in other locations, which may involve occasional business travel.

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit: Uppland Wing, F 16, is headquartered at the Uppsala Garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and surveillance of Uppsala Airport, as well as the training of conscripts in various roles within the Air Force. The unit also leads the 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, which controls combat aircraft in the air and handles the constant surveillance of Swedish airspace.
