Main responsibilities

The position of Group Leader is located at the unit's Guard Squadron, which is functionally led by the K 3 Security Department. The Guard Squadron maintains general order and security within the Karlsborg Garrison and is responsible for the protection and guarding of the Swedish Armed Forces' valuable assets and operations. The Guard Squadron consists of an operational-ready guard force and a standby force.

In your role as Group Leader, you lead the operations and the standby soldiers included in the standby force. You and your group, together with the operational-ready guard force, perform the tasks assigned to the Guard Squadron related to protection and guarding, as well as maintaining readiness within the garrison. The position primarily involves routine work in protection and guarding, such as patrolling protected objects, guarding protected objects, access control, guarding transports, etc. However, in connection with the readiness that must be maintained, other tasks within protection and guarding may also become relevant.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed military basic training with a passing grade
• Trained security guard
• Driver's license at least class B (manual transmission)

Other

Employment type: Fixed-term employment supported by the "Agreement on fixed-term employment with continuous service for group leaders, soldiers, and sailors within the Swedish Armed Forces". Employment period 8 years, with the possibility of extension to 12 years.

Employment level: Full time. Shift work and irregular working hours, both day and night.

Work location: Karlsborg, travel during work occurs.

Start date: By agreement.

The Life Dragoon Regiment, K 3, has fast and effective units and long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a Jäger Battalion and an Intelligence Battalion. The Jäger Battalion is a highly mobile unit that should be able to be first on the scene during an operation. The Intelligence Battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
