Defence Medical Centre
The Defence Medical Centre (FömedC) is the Swedish Armed Forces' centre for defence medicine, located in Gothenburg. FömedC consists of a command with staff, the Swedish Armed Forces' Combat School for Defence Medicine (FSS), the Functional Unit (FunkE), and the Hospital Battalion (Sjhbat).
The Hospital Battalion consists of several companies within healthcare, command, maintenance, and medical transport. The battalion is responsible for its own conscript training. The personnel categories include officers, specialist officers, medical personnel, soldiers, and conscripts.
About the Position
As a Logistics Officer at the Hospital Battalion, you are responsible for planning, leading, and monitoring logistics operations within the battalion. You are part of the battalion staff and work closely with the battalion command and companies to ensure that materiel, supply, and transport functions efficiently. You are expected to work closely with the quartermasters of the companies.
A Logistics Officer at the Hospital Battalion will also be an active part of upcoming infrastructure work as the unit is undergoing growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out materiel maintenance on the battalion's equipment and systems
- Plan and execute transport services, as well as organize and coordinate transports to meet operational needs
- Infrastructure tasks for the battalion
- Responsible for the unit's supply of provisions
- Ordering in the Swedish Armed Forces' support systems
- Participate in exercises, readiness, and operations
Qualifications
- Completed and approved specialist or officer training.
- Relevant and current experience in logistics service within the Swedish Armed Forces
- Ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English
- Category B driver's license
- Passed medical examination and basic requirements according to FM FysS.
- Swedish citizenship

We are looking for a structured and responsible person with good planning skills. In this role, you will work with the planning and execution of materiel maintenance, transport services, and supply provision, which requires precision and a solution-oriented approach. You will also be an active actor in the planning of new infrastructure. You thrive in collaboration and have a good ability to coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders. Furthermore, you are flexible and take initiative to ensure that operational needs are met efficiently.
Merits
- Completed logistics training within the Swedish Armed Forces
- Experience in planning and developing infrastructure
- Knowledge of systems LIFT, PRIO, and VIDAR
- PRIO training for Warehouse and Technical Service
- Civil education or experience within warehousing, transport, or dangerous goods/flammable substances
