Main Responsibilities

The position of Standby Soldier is located at the unit's Security Squadron, which is functionally led by the K 3 Security Department. As a Standby Soldier, you will be part of the Garrison's Security Squadron and handle tasks related to protection and security, as well as maintaining readiness within the garrison as needed. The role involves shift work and irregular working hours, both day and night.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed military basic training with a passing grade
• Trusted Security Guard (Skyddsvakt) certification
• Driver's license, class B minimum (manual transmission)

Since the tasks are part of our security work, you must be meticulous, reliable, and loyal. It is also crucial that you have the ability to build good relationships with both colleagues and the public, as you will be the face of the Swedish Armed Forces in relation to your duties.

You should be able to handle stress, adapt to changing paces, and meet the physical demands of the position. You must share the Swedish Armed Forces' core values and code of conduct, and represent the Armed Forces' operations in your professional role.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Other Information

Employment type: Fixed-term employment supported by the "Agreement on fixed-term employment with continuous service for NCOs, soldiers, and sailors in the Swedish Armed Forces". Employment period of 8 years, with the possibility of extension to 12 years.

Extent of employment: Full-time. Shift work and irregular hours, both day and night.

Work location: Karlsborg. Travel during work may occur.

Start date: As agreed.

The Life Regiment of Hussars, K 3, has fast and effective units with long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a Jäger Battalion and an Intelligence Battalion. The Jäger Battalion is a highly mobile unit designed to be first on the scene during operations. The Intelligence Battalion delivers intelligence using advanced technology, ground personnel, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS). K 3 also hosts the Swedish Armed Forces Survival School and the Flight Unit, which is responsible for remotely piloted aircraft systems and military parachute services.
