The role involves

Together with principals, educators, and other professionals in our joint student health team, you will lead the special needs work forward to meet all students. You will contribute to systematically improving learning environments for higher goal achievement.

As a special needs teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that extra adjustments, special support, and action plans are implemented, followed up, evaluated, and documented according to legal requirements and governing documents. You act as a conversation partner and advisor in special needs matters towards colleagues, guardians, and the principal, and you work close to students with those in need of special support in the classroom or in smaller settings.

You will have your employment at both schools with the principal at Varnhem School as your manager. You are involved as a colleague in the work team, and your time is distributed evenly between the schools located in Axvall and Varnhem. You will also be part of a central network with other special needs teachers in the administration.

You are an engaged and relationship-building special needs teacher who wants to make a difference for the students' development, learning, and health. You have a promoting and preventive approach to identify needs and contribute to relevant support measures being implemented. Through collaboration, innovation, and a strong service focus, you want to help develop our schools and contribute to becoming a better municipality to live, work, and thrive in.

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Needs Education
• Good ability to collaborate and work together with students, guardians, principals, colleagues, and other authorities.
• Good ability to independently structure, plan, organize, and follow up on pedagogical work.
• Good ability to communicate well in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have training in ITPA, LOGOS, or similar assessment and evaluation tools.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Terms of Employment

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date as agreed.
