Prismaskolan is looking for an enthusiastic after-school educator in Mariestad!

Prismaskolan in Mariestad is a primary school (grades F-6) located in a scenic natural area near the center of Mariestad. Opened in 2017, the school offers bright facilities inspired by Lake Vänern and the surrounding nature. The premises are designed to provide conditions for flexible teaching opportunities where school and after-school care collaborate. There is a large schoolyard with opportunities for varied activities.

At Prismaskolan, we have a good collaboration and do our utmost to meet our students' needs. We work actively together to ensure that all students feel safe, seen, and included.

For the autumn term, we are now looking for an educator who wants to be part of our students' development and our good collegial collaboration. Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in after-school care/after-school educator at Prismaskolan, you are linked to a work team that works closely together. There are four after-school departments here, and your task consists of planning, implementing, and following up on the work that takes place during the students' time in the after-school program.

In the after-school education, you stimulate the students' development and learning and offer the students a meaningful leisure time. This is done by basing your work on the students' needs, interests, and experiences, but also by continuously challenging the students further by inspiring new discoveries. In the education, you offer a variation of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments that integrate care and learning.

A part of the workday takes place in collaboration with the school, where you are a resource in the teaching. Together with your colleagues in after-school care, you are also responsible for the duty as a recess supervisor and recess activities during the students' lunch breaks.

Among us, it is important that students feel safe and comfortable, and we view the student's entire school day, both in school and in the after-school program. As an educator, you ensure that the operations are based on current regulatory documents, and the school's educators have close cooperation with the student health team to work preventively and promotively towards the goals of education.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must be educated as a teacher in after-school care or alternatively educated from the former after-school educator education.

As a person, you are secure and inspiring and have the ability to build good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You thrive in a pedagogical professional role and know that everyone has different prerequisites and absorbs knowledge in different ways. In the work, we wish for you to be creative and dare to try new paths to meet students' needs and interests.

We see that you are an engaged team player with a strong drive to develop the after-school program's work based on regulatory documents and conditions. It is important to us that you are quick to laugh and have an easy time collaborating – it contributes to us having fun together!

Since we use digital tools in our daily work, we assume that you have good digital competence.
