About the Position

Our organization includes both an adapted primary school and the municipality's central resource school, both located at Kristinedal School in central Stenungsund.

The Resource School covers students in grades 4-9, and our adapted primary school covers grades 1-9.

Job Responsibilities

The role of a student assistant involves supporting students towards goal achievement and operational objectives in accordance with the curriculum and other regulatory documents. We are now looking for an engaged and confident student assistant for our students who are in need of special support.

Your task is to provide the student with the support required to create a safe, developmental, and meaningful school day. The work includes both pedagogical support in the classroom and personal care throughout the school day. Medical support for students may also occur if self-care programs are in place.

You must have good ability to collaborate with both teachers and other school staff. Collaboration is necessary to support the students in the best possible way. Together with the school's other resource staff, you work to support the students throughout the entire school day, including during recess.

The student assistant must be able to follow the students in all environments, such as changing rooms and other pedagogical and social environments, during both school hours and leisure time.

Qualifications

We are now seeking student assistants who have a secondary education from the Child and Youth Care program, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with students in adapted school forms or with special needs is considered an advantage.

It is important that you are confident in your professional role and that you are clear in your communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
