The Research Project
Many organizations currently have limited ability to systematically manage and learn from information security incidents. Incidents are often handled reactively, without leveraging experiences for long-term risk management. This research project investigates how organizations can strengthen their ability to integrate incident management into risk-based information security work. The focus is on how organizational and socio-technical factors affect the possibility of working more cohesively and learning over time. The goal is to develop a practical and theoretically grounded framework describing how organizational capabilities for incident management can support risk-based information security work. The results are expected to contribute to a greater understanding of how organizations can strengthen their resilience by linking operational incidents to the continuous work of identifying, assessing, and managing information security risks.
Your Role
You will primarily focus on your doctoral studies, which include participation in various studies within the research project as well as doctoral courses, seminars, and conferences.
