The administration is responsible for education from preschool to adult education and runs a unique house for young people's active leisure.

The role involves

Reciprocal learning and care presuppose subject knowledge, pedagogical competence, and the ability to relate to children in a thoughtful manner through dialogue. As a preschool teacher, you lead and are responsible for the operations in a way that enables children to develop as far as possible towards the goals and guidelines of the curriculum. You have a holistic perspective on the operations with the child's learning in focus. In your work, you challenge children's curiosity, interest, and desire to learn, while creating conditions for their development and learning.

You plan, implement, evaluate, develop, and document the operations based on existing governing documents. As part of the assignment, you follow research and work based on proven experience and scientific grounds to continuously develop the quality and content of the operations.

There are 10 municipal preschools in Skara. We are now looking for a certified preschool teacher for Förskolan Kastanjen (The Chestnut Tree), located in Ardala just outside Skara.

Who are you?

You are engaged, present, and responsive. You want to create a safe and joyful environment where children's curiosity and perspectives are at the center. You build relationships by meeting each child with presence and responsiveness.

You weave the goals of the curriculum into everyday life in a meaningful and natural way so that mathematics, science, and creativity become part of the child's exploration. You promote language and communication through stories, conversations, and play.

You are curious and reflective, take initiative, and start processes, both in work teams and in operations. Through documentation and joint reflections, you make children's learning visible and let their perspectives guide the operations.

Qualifications

• Certified preschool teacher or teacher certified for preschool.
• Good ability to plan, organize, and follow up on pedagogical work.
• Good ability to create respectful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to capture children's initiatives and create participation.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

Other information and benefits

The position is permanent 100%, with a start date of 2026-08-03 or as agreed.
