The Department for University-Wide IT works with strategic IT issues and serves as a service organization for shared services. The mission includes infrastructure, administration, service, and support. The department has approximately 200 employees divided into five units.
Job Responsibilities
As a Technical System Administrator with a focus on electronic archiving, you will primarily work with the configuration and administration of our electronic archive (Marshal OAIS) and its associated peripheral services. You will work closely with the operations using the services as support before and during archiving processes. The role also involves user support, i.e., support via a case management system.
Qualifications
- Relevant education, at least upper secondary level, in fields such as data and systems science, or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer.
- At least two years of experience in database administration and/or system development.
- Ability to follow documentation and document according to given standards.
- Good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability, such as your ability to take initiative and work independently and structured in an environment where the pace is occasionally high. The work requires good communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to adapt your approach to users with different needs and prior knowledge. Important personal qualities include being structured, flexible, driven, having a well-developed service orientation, and good teamwork skills.
Desirable / Meritorious Qualifications
- Experience with Marshal OAIS and ETL.
- At least 1 year of experience working with electronic archiving.
- Experience with XSLT, XML, JavaScript, C#, or CSS.
- Experience working in a university/higher education setting or similar large organization.
- Knowledge of current regulations regarding electronic archiving.
- Experience working in a case management system.
About the Position
The position is fixed-term, until 2027-07-31. The position is full-time. Start date 2026-09-01 or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
