Närhälsan offers high-quality primary care close to home. With hundreds of clinics in Västra Götaland, we are close to residents throughout their lives and make a difference to their health. We value you and offer development throughout your professional career.
About Us
Our health centre is located in the heart of Mölnlycke, near Gothenburg with good connections. Mölnlycke is a growing town where the health centre has approximately 14,000 registered patients with a mixed population of elderly residents, families with children, and rural residents.
Närhälsan Mölnlycke includes a health centre, Child Health Centre (BVC), Family Centre, and a clinic for Youth Mental Health. We have approximately 45 employees and offer clinics for diabetes and asthma/COPD, district nurses, assistant nurses, and a mental health team. We are a stable workforce with short decision-making and communication paths. The building also houses rehabilitation, youth, and midwifery clinics. Child and adolescent medicine is located in the neighbouring building. We have a well-functioning collaboration with Härryda Municipality and also conduct general medical research in collaboration with the University of Gothenburg.
Youth Mental Health in Mölnlycke consists of psychologists and social workers, seven employees in total. Children aged 6–18 with mental health issues can contact us regardless of which health centre they are registered with. The unit works to ensure that children and young people feel understood and validated. The employees have high competence and experience working with children and young people. There is good cohesion within the group and close collegial support, even though the work often takes place individually in patient care.
As an employee at Närhälsan, you are offered development opportunities through internal training and mentoring programmes. We actively work on development to constantly improve our methods and meet our patients' needs. Please read more about our benefits on Närhälsan's website.
About the Job
Youth Mental Health (YMH) offers early and adequate care for children and young people with mental health issues. As a psychologist, you work closely with other staff in assessing, diagnosing, and treating children and young people, and implementing appropriate interventions.
You collaborate with actors such as schools and social services and participate in SIP (Joint Action Plan) meetings. Treatment interventions for depression, anxiety, and self-harm behaviours, as well as counselling, support, and crisis talks, are part of the role. You become an important contact for parental support, both individually and in groups, and lead group treatments such as worry management, AFFEKT, and ABC. The work is primarily based at the unit, but some remote work is possible in consultation with the manager.
We work with a primary care focus, high accessibility, stepped care, and close collaboration with other professions. Therefore, it is important that you have an interest in primary care work and accessibility for all residents with mental and behavioural health issues.
About You
You are a licensed psychologist with at least one year of clinical experience working with children and young people with mental health issues.
Experience in the following is considered an advantage:
- Psychological work at the primary care level
- Stepped care
- Internet-based psychological treatment
- Group therapy
We are looking for someone who is sensitive and accommodating, with good communication skills and the ability to identify individual needs. You take initiative, engage in development work, and contribute as a consultative resource in interdisciplinary collaboration.
A professional working method and good customer service are a given. We also expect you to live up to Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.
Other Information
The position is a one-year fixed-term contract, starting in October 2026.
Interviews at the unit are held continuously during the application period.
Welcome to apply!
About the Recruitment Process
Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department, who invite relevant candidates to a telephone interview. The hiring manager then makes a second selection of applicants and invites them for an interview at the health centre.
We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe concrete situations as much as possible and try to avoid generalising answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
