About the Position
We are looking for a stoma therapist or a nurse with an interest in stoma and wound care for our surgical clinic.
Here, you are offered meaningful and developmental work where you follow the patient through the entire care process – from preparation for surgery to follow-up and long-term support in a changed life situation.
We offer:
- a varied and independent role with a high degree of patient contact
- opportunities to develop within stoma care and specialized nursing
- close collaboration in an engaged, cross-professional team
- good opportunities to contribute to the development of operations
The role involves rotation between outpatient services and inpatient wards, providing broad competence and increased understanding of the entire care chain. This may also include weekend work.
Responsibilities
As a nurse here, you will work with:
- outpatient care and nursing of patients before and after surgery
- information, education, and support for patients and relatives in a new life situation
- planned follow-ups after stoma surgery, both at the clinic and via phone/digital channels
- advice and support to other healthcare providers within the hospital, municipality, and primary care
- participation in development work and knowledge dissemination within stoma care
The work involves both independent initiatives and close collaboration with colleagues in surgery, urology, and other professions.
About Us
The surgical clinic receives patients aged 18 and above who need investigation and treatment within surgery. Some of the operations also include younger patients.
We work in teams based on different diagnostic areas such as colorectal, vascular, breast/melanoma, and upper gastrointestinal. At the same time, we value the whole picture and collaborate closely between teams.
Our goal is to develop and strengthen surgical outpatient care, and we are looking for you who want to contribute to this work in an organization characterized by participation and development.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with at least two years of experience and a genuine interest in surgical care.
You are responsible, structured, and flexible. You have good collaboration skills and thrive in a team where you together create good and safe care for the patient. Experience in surgery, outpatient work, or stoma care is meritorious but not a requirement.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Other Information
Selection and interviews will take place continuously during the application period, but with a break during weeks 29-33.
In the event of recruiting nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish license/specialist certificate.
