We are now looking for a dental nurse who understands the importance of good service and a welcoming attitude

Main duties and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Järntorget, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs. As a dental nurse with us, you play a vital role in ensuring that patients feel well-treated and secure during their visit. You will utilize your full range of skills, while the role also demands creativity, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset.

The clinic is located in the heart of Gothenburg - just a stone's throw from Järntorget and Långgatorna. You have easy access to good public transport. We are 28 employees who value job satisfaction. We like to keep the patient at the center. We work in one of the city's most modern clinics. The clinic's opening hours are 07:00 - 19:00 Monday to Thursday and Friday 07:00 - 17:00.

The position includes, among other things:

• Assisting with examinations and treatments
• Working with own patients during prophylaxis treatments, introductions, oral health counseling, or adaptation treatments.
• Working in the sterile room and reception

We are a VFU (Vård- och utbildningsföretag) clinic and host students from the dental and dental hygienist programs at the University of Gothenburg. Supervision/assistance of students may also become part of the role.

Competency requirements and profile

• Trained dental nurse with a MYH (Swedish Agency for Higher Vocational Education) approved education.
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and smart way
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a listening manner

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored supervision program during your first period. The supervision program is part of our two-year development program for newly graduated dental nurses.

About the recruitment process

The first step in the recruitment process is a digital interview with HR. After the application period ends, the clinic manager selects candidates and invites them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for week 48. Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in the suspicion and criminal registers before employment.
