The Social Care Administration in Borås Municipality is responsible for the municipality's disability services, social psychiatry, as well as health and care interventions for the mentioned target groups. With approximately 1,000 employees and 45 managers, we continuously work to improve the quality of our services for those we exist to serve.

We are looking for an occupational therapist who wants to work in a solution-focused, creative manner, and together with a secure team within the municipal healthcare sector, focusing on disability services.

You will be part of one of our three teams, based out of Bryggaregatan in Borås, but working within a defined geographical area where you meet people living in group homes, service apartments, or ordinary housing, as well as participants in day activities.

As an occupational therapist, you work to strengthen the individual's ability to manage their daily life. This means you work preventively and compensatorily, always with the individual's needs in focus. You have access to proven methods and structures, but we also know that it takes courage to think new and creative thoughts. Our target group is complex, which makes flexibility, sensitivity, and the ability to think outside the box important qualities in the daily work.

You work closely together with physiotherapists, nurses, nursing assistants, and rehabilitation assistants in an interdisciplinary team where we help and complement each other. We place great value on you enjoying collaboration with others, but also having the ability to work independently.

As an extra benefit, we offer you four hours per week that you can freely allocate for remote work, providing a good balance between structure and freedom.

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and who preferably have experience working with people with disabilities. However, the most important thing is that you are engaged, curious, and confident in your role, and that you have the desire to contribute to improving the daily lives of people with various functional variations.
