A vacancy for a Nursing Assistant is now available at Björkängen Elderly Care Home, the dementia care facility Ekebacken. Björkängen Elderly Care Home is located in the city center, close to train and bus connections.

Job Responsibilities

Working within elderly care means providing users with individually adapted care, service, and performing delegated health and medical interventions. The work also involves handling safety alarms, which means no two days are alike. You may need to quickly adjust and prioritize – and that is precisely what makes the work so lively and meaningful.

You are part of close collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and other healthcare professionals – always with the individual's needs in focus. You document interventions and follow up on implementation plans according to current routines to ensure quality, continuity, and individual adaptation.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who take responsibility for your tasks with the user's best interests in focus and who are keen to complete the work you have started. You have an interest in the person, which means you focus on the person behind the illness, their feelings, and unique life story. You create security, have patience, and the ability to avoid correcting or arguing unnecessarily.

You work independently and have the ability to make your own decisions when the work requires it. The position places high demands on flexibility, the ability to plan and structure work, as well as good collaboration skills with your colleagues and other professionals you meet in your work.

Requirements

To be employed in the role of Nursing Assistant, you must attach proof of protected professional title or a certificate from your current employer confirming that you had/have a permanent position as a Nursing Assistant as of July 1, 2023.

• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

Merits:

• Healthcare and Social Care College Diploma.
• Experience in similar work and/or education within dementia care.
• Experience with documentation.
• Experience working with dementia patients.

Other

We are looking for a Nursing Assistant for Björkängen Elderly Care Home, the dementia care facility. The position is a permanent employment with a desired employment level of 75–100%.

Selection, interviews, and reference checks are conducted continuously during the recruitment period.

Salary Range

We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. As a Nursing Assistant within home care/elderly care, you can expect a salary between 27,800 and 34,000 SEK depending on experience and competence. Individual salary setting applies.
