The physiotherapists belong to the rehabilitation team based at Mariestad Hospital, organized under the Department of Elderly Care and Social Services.

Due to a colleague moving on to another assignment within the rehab team, we need to recruit a replacement physiotherapist to our wonderful team. Are you a team player who is receptive and positive? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

RESPONSIBILITIES

The unit consists of eight physiotherapists, eight occupational therapists, and three rehabilitation assistants.

The responsibilities involve managing training and rehabilitation for the elderly and people with disabilities. The work is primarily conducted in the patient's home, in care and housing facilities, but also within social psychiatry and LSS (Support and Service Act). In your role, you also supervise care staff in their execution of prescribed exercises for patients. You are also responsible for the prescription of assistive devices.

As a physiotherapist, you usually work in pairs with an occupational therapist, and together you are responsible for a geographical area. A large part of the work is carried out in collaboration with rehabilitation assistants, team leaders, care staff, nurses, needs assessors, and unit managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, you need to be a licensed physiotherapist, and we welcome recent graduates - we have a good culture with excellent supervision for newly graduated physiotherapists!

To fit the role, we see that you are receptive, engaged, and have good planning skills and the ability to make independent decisions. We imagine that you want to develop in your professional role in a job where you will encounter patients with many varied diagnoses. We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and other people, both internally within the municipality and externally.

Experience of previous work as a physiotherapist in healthcare or elderly care is meritorious.

A B-driver's license with manual transmission is required for the position.
