Sandeklevsskolan in Bergsjön has approximately 300 students in grades 7–9. We have excellent transport connections with tram lines 7 and 11, which stop at the Teleskopgatan station, while also being close to large green areas. The school works systematically with safety and study environment, resulting in both students and teachers thriving and finding peace at work. We show a clear improvement in both student results and school attendance every semester.

Bergsjöskolan is a school with students from preschool class to grade 6, as well as adapted primary school grades 1–6. Just over 400 students from all over the world attend this school, and some of the students are newly arrived. They have different experience worlds, school backgrounds, and knowledge that contribute to our great diversity.

Bergsjöskolan is located in the eastern part of Bergsjön at the Rymdtorget tram stop. You can easily get here with local transport in about 20 minutes from central Gothenburg with tram lines 7 and 11 as well as buses 58 and 74.

We are now looking for a school nurse!

Responsibilities

In your role as a school nurse, you will become part of the Student Health Services and collaborate with the school's staff and management based on the regulatory documents found in the Health and Medical Services Act, the Education Act, guidelines for student health services, as well as Gothenburg City's Method Support. You will have close contact with the school's students and also many contacts with guardians, external healthcare providers, and authorities outside the school. You will work together with an experienced school doctor.

Gothenburg City has a established basic program for EMI (Student Health Services) which includes health visits, health conversations, and vaccinations. The school nurse is responsible for organizing and planning their own and the school doctor's reception work during the school year. The work also includes issues concerning the students' work environment, the school's value base, and lifestyle-related ill health, and you will become a link in the school's student health team.

As a school nurse, you are part of a professional network for the other school nurses in the educational area, led by the medically responsible leader (MLA). You are offered introductory training and access to a mentor during the introduction period. School nurses receive profession-specific competence development and have the opportunity for regular supervision outside the school. A school nurse can also supervise VFU (practice) students within the same profession and those studying on one of the approved advanced educations for school nurses.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are both a licensed nurse and specially trained. Approved advanced educations are: District Nurse, Child and Adolescent Health Nurse, and School Nurse. Meritorious is experience working as a school nurse, working with children and adolescents, as well as good computer skills and knowledge of PMO and/or equivalent documentation systems.
