About the Department

Our emergency department has the combined responsibility for the acute operations of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) clinic. As a nurse at the BUP Emergency Department, your work involves triaging patients via the emergency phone and making acute assessments regarding whether the patient requires inpatient psychiatric care or what level of care is appropriate. We also work in consultation with child medicine, providing consultations during evenings and weekends.

We work in cross-professional teams from a holistic perspective. Secretaries and other licensed personnel, such as social workers and doctors, also work at the emergency department.

About the Position

To thrive in this role, you are motivated by driving change and improvement projects. You have the opportunity to structure your own work, but are also flexible and enjoy the acute and changing nature of the work. The position involves both independent work and teamwork. You will receive a comprehensive introduction to our acute care unit.

The position includes day, evening, and weekend shifts. Our emergency phone is open seven days a week between 08:00 and 22:00.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse with specialist education in psychiatric care. You have an interest in the mental health of children and adolescents.

You enjoy change and improvement work. Furthermore, you are flexible and have the ability to switch between independent work and teamwork. You have good collaboration skills. Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Other Information

We are primarily seeking psychiatric nurses, but general nurses are also welcome to apply.
