About the job
Are you a licensed nurse looking for varied and independent work where you make a difference for people every day? Due to an organizational restructuring, we are looking for more employees for our short-term care unit at Högsbotorp Care and Housing Facility in the South West district.
On the short-term unit, nurses work together in a close-knit team with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, and care staff. The role involves dialogue and collaboration with various stakeholders, where teamwork and problem-solving are key components. As a nurse at Högsbotorp's short-term unit, your professional responsibility is to jointly assess the patient's needs for healthcare, rehabilitation, and care in collaboration with other staff members.
Collaboration and a good sense of community are highly valued. The unit has 30 beds. The short-term units in the City of Gothenburg support individuals who need to regain, maintain, or improve their ability to manage daily life, thereby enabling them to continue living at home. We also care for patients waiting for other housing arrangements or those in the final stages of life.
The flow of admissions and discharges is high in our short-term units, with patient stays typically lasting around 14 days. The work on a short-term unit is free-flowing and varied. As a nurse, you will have overall responsibility for the patients under your care. This includes assessing, investigating, planning, implementing measures, and documenting based on the patient's various health issues.
We want you to have a good work environment with a balance between work and leisure. If you feel good at work, you do a better job, which ultimately leads to better treatment and service for those we serve. As a new employee, we offer you an individually tailored introduction so that you feel as secure as possible in your role. We welcome you to become part of an engaged team. Together, we create the world's best city for a long and dignified life.
About you
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with experience in short-term care. Further education in elderly care is an advantage. It is desirable if you have prescription rights for incontinence products and assistive devices. If you do not have these, you are expected to complete the necessary training during working hours. We prefer that you have a few years of professional experience. A Category B driver's license is a requirement for the position, and evening and weekend shifts are included.
You, as a candidate, have a good ability to work together with others, with the patient's best interests in focus. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You also have the ability to work independently and make your own decisions in your work. You strive to provide high-quality care by taking your tasks seriously, ensuring you complete what you start, and making sure the work is done correctly. You provide good treatment to everyone you meet in your professional role by showing respect and consideration. Furthermore, you have good communication skills and can adapt your information according to the situation and the patient's needs.
If you think this sounds like a fun and interesting job, you are warmly welcome to apply!
