We are looking for

To our resident team, we are looking for you who are engaged, ambitious, responsible, enjoy challenges, and want to contribute to developing healthcare in our region.

We offer you

• We offer 1 resident block with an start date of 2026-08-17.
• The resident block covers 21 months and is distributed over six months of surgery (including anesthesia and orthopedics), six months of medicine (including geriatrics), three months of psychiatry, and finally six months of general practice.
• Your residency begins with a one-week introduction, and you have four elective weeks during your residency.

Training and Benefits

• 2-5 days of external courses
• 8 days of region-wide joint training
• 1 week of introduction (general)
• 1 hour of teaching per week
• Personal supervisor at each clinic
• Paid leave, conference fees, travel, and accommodation for the resident conference
• Research interest is welcome. If interested, the region can offer up to three research resident positions per year. Your residency service will then be extended by 6 months. You must be admitted as a doctoral student at the time of the resident application. The project should preferably be anchored to the region.

Your Competence

You who apply have a medical degree at the planned start of the resident block and good knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

Applicants with foreign degrees must, in addition to the medical degree certificate, also attach the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's decision on permission to perform residency in Sweden.

If you are offered a resident position, we will request an extract from the criminal record register.
