The Role of Psychologist

We are now looking for a licensed psychologist for the Child Health Care Psychologist Unit in Eksjö.

As a psychologist with us, you operate within a care chain from pregnancy to the transition to school health services. Here you have the opportunity to work with both children and adults. Most interventions involve support in various ways in parenthood, both individually and in groups. This can range from supporting parents in dealing with and managing various development-related behaviors in their children to birth anxiety and postpartum depression. Interventions to promote interaction and attachment are also part of the assignment.

You will work with assessment and investigation work for children at the basic level in preschool age, as well as provide consultation to child health care nurses and midwives. In addition to close collaboration with child health care nurses, you will also collaborate with other professions at the family centers in the area. Regarding the individual child/family, you will also collaborate with, for example, preschool and social services when necessary.

You are offered a permanent full-time position with an start date according to agreement.

Child health care in Jönköping County is an independent county-wide operation, where all the county's parent and child health care psychologists are gathered under a common psychologist unit with a licensed psychologist as head. PTP psychologists are often also present in the operation as we strive to offer future psychologists an arena to start their professional development in a secure context.

The workplace is in Eksjö, where there is already a licensed colleague. Since we have operations throughout the county and collaborate, travel to other parts of the county may be included. These take place during working hours and require that you have a B driving license.

Your Profile

The positions require one of the following:

• Licensed psychologist with an interest in parent and developmental psychology or curiosity to learn more in this area.
