The Role of the Nurse

The orthopedic clinic has 22 care beds divided into two units. On care unit A, patients are cared for after planned orthopedic surgeries, and on care unit B, patients with acute injuries are treated. As a nurse with us, you will get a natural variety and broad competence within orthopedics as you alternate between the two care units.

Your work involves, among other things, optimization before surgery, meaning you are responsible for nursing care and pain relief. You also play an important role in the patient's rehabilitation after surgery. We want the patient to be involved in their care, which means that communication and contact with relatives is a very important part of the work.

Many of the patients need us around the clock. For the nurse we are looking for now, this means working days and evenings during weekdays and weekends. We have individual schedule planning, so you can influence which shifts you work. The position is a permanent full-time employment, and the start date is by agreement, preferably in August or September. If you are interested in working less than full-time, we are open to having a dialogue about it.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. We would like you to have a few years of experience in healthcare work and be interested in developing within orthopedics. It is even better if you also have experience from an orthopedic care ward or another inpatient care ward.

To thrive with us, you enjoy having a lot of patient contact and feel comfortable meeting patients in different situations. You have a professional attitude with a good ability to structure, prioritize, and take responsibility for your tasks. You cooperate easily, understand your role, and can ensure the best interests of the entire operation in actions and decisions. It means a lot to us that you have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
