The Rehabilitation Centre serves all patient groups within specialist care, and we are now looking for you with an interest in the area of adult neurology or alternatively in the child care area. The Role of Speech Therapist

You will meet patient groups primarily within neurology and elderly care, or alternatively children, from a person-centred perspective. Patients with voice disorders are another patient group you may work with. The work includes assessments and treatment interventions based on the target group, and you will be part of team work.

Tasks within neurology and elderly care include among other things:

• Swallowing, speech, and language assessments in inpatient and outpatient care
• Treatment of speech and language impairments in neurological conditions
• FUS (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)

Tasks within child care include among other things:

• Preschool-aged children who have difficulty developing speech, language, and communication
• Assessment and advice regarding approaches to linguistic stimulation as well as direct treatment interventions
• Close collaboration with guardians and other people close to the child
• Stuttering

Tasks within voice include:

• Assessment and treatment of voice disorders

The position is a permanent full-time position located in Värnamo. A probationary period of 6 months may apply.

A Category B driving license is required as travel may be part of the duties.
