Job Responsibilities

Do you want to be part of developing and ensuring one of Sweden's most extensive tramway networks? The Specialist Group for Tramway Infrastructure is responsible for the management, development, and assurance of Gothenburg and Mölndal's tramway infrastructure. The group works with planning, maintenance, reinvestment, and safety management of a societal-critical infrastructure used daily by thousands of passengers.

We are now looking for a Project Manager who wants to drive important maintenance and reinvestment projects within the tramway infrastructure and contribute to safe, robust, and sustainable public transport for the Gothenburg region.

The Role of Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for leading and monitoring maintenance and reinvestment projects in Gothenburg and Mölndal's tramway infrastructure. You take over after the design phase and ensure that projects are carried out according to current requirements, schedules, and budgets. In this role, you coordinate work between internal functions and external contractors and are responsible for reinvestment and renewal of the various components of the tramway infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Plan and monitor the project schedules, economy, and deliveries.
  • Ensure that contractors follow established technical and safety requirements.
  • Conduct construction and production monitoring in the field.
  • Handle deviations, risks, and changes within the projects.

  • Ensure that necessary documentation, inspections, and handovers are carried out.
  • Monitor contractors' performance regarding quality, safety, economy, and delivery.

The role entails significant responsibility for maintaining the infrastructure's function, safety, and lifespan through structured and efficient implementation of planned maintenance measures.
