Lerum is located just a 20-minute drive from Gothenburg and is currently facing a period of intense development with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. The municipality works to ensure good service, high welfare, and a thriving business climate.

Dagens Samhälle named Lerum the winner in the category of large urban municipalities (2025) - an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities in areas such as education, care and social services, economy, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business life, and future factors such as digitalization and civil preparedness. Lerum is, in other words, a Super Municipality!

The Employment Unit is one of four units within the Business and Support activity in the Support and Care Sector.

At the Employment Unit, we base our work on BIP research, which emphasizes the importance of an individual's resources, motivation, and belief in their own abilities to achieve establishment on the labor market.

  • Coordinate study visits, information meetings, and other activities in collaboration with employers and external actors.
  • Plan, coordinate, and develop the municipality's holiday jobs by ensuring access to holiday positions and being responsible for follow-up

You have knowledge and/or experience working with persons with mental and physical functional variations, mental ill health, and work rehabilitation. It is meritorious if you have experience with persons with psychiatric and addiction issues, as well as collaboration with authorities and private employers.

We also expect you to have good knowledge of subsidized employment and labor market measures, good digital skills, documentation habits, and good verbal and written communication skills.

To succeed in the role, you are communicative, structured, and solution-focused. You work goal-oriented with individual development, adapt support based on needs and conditions, and follow up on measures in a systematic way.
