About the Division of Cognitive Science, Information Technology and Learning, Interaction Design, Communication (KLIK)
The KLIK division is an interdisciplinary unit working on issues related to cognitive science, learning and IT, interaction design, and communication, with a focus on understanding and developing the interaction between humans, technology, and society. We offer programs at both the bachelor's and master's levels, including programs in cognitive science, communication, and learning and IT, and contribute to international master's programs, standalone courses, and commissioned education. Our interdisciplinary research spans areas such as design research, artificial intelligence, cognition, communication, and digital learning, with projects funded by national and international research councils, industry, and other organizations, in close collaboration with both industry and society.

Job Description
As a Student Assistant, you will be responsible for research work within the Vinnova-funded project I-AIMS-2. These responsibilities will include: experimental design, data collection and analysis regarding human-technology interaction (autonomous vehicles); biometric analysis (emotion- and "eyetracking"-based analysis).
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have a bachelor's or master's degree in cognitive science. You should have good knowledge of experimental design, including qualitative and quantitative analysis. A central requirement is that you have experience with biometric analysis, e.g., "eyetracking" and "facial expression analysis". You must be highly knowledgeable and have documented experience in human-computer interaction (HCI) research, e.g., with robots or (semi-autonomous) vehicles. The candidate must have at least basic knowledge of Python and algorithms within artificial intelligence (AI).
In this recruitment, the University will primarily consider the candidate who, after a holistic assessment of competence and skill, is judged to have the best prerequisites for carrying out and developing current job tasks, collaborating with other staff, and contributing to the positive development of the operations.
Employment
The position is a fixed-term appointment (special fixed-term employment/acting position) at 50% of full time for 4 months, located at the Department of Applied Information Technology, Division of Cognitive Science, Information Technology and Learning, Interaction Design, Communication (KLIK).
Start date: August 15, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The formal job title is Assistant.
