School Economist for Kvarnbergsskolan in Huddinge

Kvarnbergsskolan is now looking for an engaged and structured School Economist who wants to take overall responsibility for our finances. This is a part-time position with an extent of approximately 30%.

About the role
As a School Economist, you play a key role at the school. You work in close collaboration with the Principal and the management team to ensure that the school's resources are used in the best possible way. You are responsible for the entire economic process and serve as a strategic and administrative support.

Your main responsibilities:

• Budgeting: Create, manage, and follow up on the school's annual budget.
• Analysis: Conduct economic forecasts, monthly follow-ups, and variance analyses.
• Invoicing: Handle supplier and customer invoices as well as internal accounting.
• Administration: Manage contracts and purchases for the operations.
• Reporting: Present economic results to the management and the Administration.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in independent work. You are communicative and have the ability to explain complex economics in a simple way to colleagues without an economic background. Since you work in a school, you are flexible and service-oriented.

Your qualifications:

• University education in economics or equivalent vocational training.
• A few years of experience in broad economic work, preferably within schools or the public sector.
• Good knowledge of Excel and modern economic and personnel systems.
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
