The Contact Center for Children and Young People's Mental Health in Västerbotten is a unified entry point into healthcare for children and young people aged 0–17 with mental health issues. We work to ensure good accessibility and to guarantee equitable assessment throughout the region. The service provides advice and support, conducts structured assessments, and offers appointments at the appropriate level of care. The service also offers evidence-based and equitable group therapy for children, young people, and their guardians in Västerbotten.

The work group is based in Umeå and consists of four psychiatric nurses, four counselors, and five psychologists who work with telephone assessments and digital parental support groups.

We are now looking for a licensed healthcare counselor or counselor to work with telephone assessments and parental support.

Responsibilities

As a licensed healthcare counselor with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that make people feel safe.

You will work with receiving and assessing mental health issues in children and young people aged 0–17 via telephone. The tasks involve providing advice and support, assessing care needs, and triaging to the appropriate level of care for mild, moderate, and severe mental health issues. You will also lead digital parental support groups together with a colleague.

The responsibilities include collaboration with healthcare partners and municipalities in Region Västerbotten. Part of the work may involve outward-facing activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed healthcare counselor or counselor. Competence regarding children and young people with mental health issues is highly valued. Experience working with digital healthcare meetings and parental support is advantageous.

You are confident in yourself and in your professional practice. You are good at working independently and have good collaboration skills. You are proactive, keen to advance the operations, and thrive in a team environment. As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and enjoy finding solutions.

You have very good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You have a strong sense of service and provide good customer care.
