TOGETHER WE ARE VINDELN

Our organization is shaped by our employees. It is the people who carry out assignments and deliver public benefit. In the world we live in, all skills are needed, and everyone is important. We are therefore looking for a leisure center leader with coordination responsibilities for the leisure unit. We warmly welcome your application!

OUR OFFER

Choosing an employer is a big and important decision, and we want to make it easy for you to find the information you are looking for. Here you can read more about what we offer you: https://www.vindeln.se/tillsammans-ar-vi-vindeln/karriar (https://www.vindeln.se/tillsammans-ar-vi-vindeln/karriar)

YOUR NEW JOB

As a leisure center leader with coordination responsibilities, you have a key role in developing and driving youth activities in Vindeln Municipality. You work closely with the leisure center manager and are responsible for operations, planning, and coordination. You hold the whole together and ensure effective collaboration between schools, youth clubs, and civil society.

An important part of the assignment is to inspire young people to an active and meaningful leisure time. You create conditions for youth participation by building trusting relationships. With a coaching approach, you support young people's ideas, projects, and personal development.

In this role, you alternate between operational and administrative tasks. Collaboration is a central part of the assignment where you work with schools, social services, police, and associations to create safe and meaningful environments.

Part of the position is based at Renfors School, where you, among other things, work with break-time activities and theme weeks in collaboration with school staff. You also participate in forums such as the safety team and student council.

Evening and weekend work are included in the position, and during school holidays, this means increased working hours in the evenings.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a secondary education with a relevant focus, for example, the Child and Youth Program. Post-secondary education with a focus on working with young people, social work, pedagogy, or equivalent is meritorious.

It is positive if you have experience of working with young people as well as collaboration with schools, associations, or other societal actors. Experience of voluntary engagement is also meritorious.

To succeed in the role, you are engaged, relationship-building, and proactive, with a strong interest in young people's living conditions and development. You are positive and solution-oriented, and have the ability to build trusting relationships.

You are secure and stable with good self-insight, which means you act professionally in meetings with others. You understand people's different prerequisites and adapt your working style and communication to create participation and inclusion.

The role requires that you can take responsibility, structure, and hold wholes together. You have the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with other actors. The work is varied, which places demands on flexibility. You have a good ability to prioritize and adapt to changed prerequisites.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

Youth activities are part of the leisure unit, which also includes the swimming hall, the municipality's leisure facilities, and other issues concerning leisure and association life. You are based at the Leisure Center where the youth club is located and the leisure unit has its offices.

Youth activities strive to create a safe and at the same time meaningful leisure time for our young people. We encourage our young people to participate in planned as well as spontaneous activities and strive for them to feel heard and seen regardless of where we are, at school as well as at the youth club.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Category B driver's license
  • For this position, you must present a valid extract from the Police's criminal record register before employment.
