About the position
We are currently looking for an engaged personal assistant for a woman in her 30s who lives in her own apartment in central Skellefteå. The position is a longer-term temporary assignment at approximately 55%, and we are looking for you who want to provide personal and secure support in her daily life.
As an assistant, you are the client's extended arms and legs. Since the client lives in her own home, your role is central to ensuring her daily life runs smoothly. The work is varied and involves support with everything from personal hygiene and mobility assistance to cooking and daily household chores.
You will also accompany the client as support during activities outside the home and help her live an active and independent life.
Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled Persons). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with whatever arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
Who are you?
The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for you who are sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the client.
Requirements for the position:
Must be able to come to work scent-free and perfume-free (client is allergic)
Has good knowledge of Swedish
Respects allergies to nuts and eggs (may not be brought to the workplace)
The client is allergic to fur animals. You may have animals at home, but it is very important that you have clean clothes free from fur when you come to work.
Can work awake nights
Is non-smoking (during working hours)
Has good physical fitness and can perform heavy lifting
Merits for the position:
Has experience in similar work
Has experience with breathing masks/respiratory assistance
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Working hours, degree of employment, and salary
The position is a longer-term fixed-term temporary assignment at approximately 55% (averaging 22 hours per week). There is currently no fixed end date for the temporary assignment; instead, your manager will have an ongoing dialogue with you and provide updates regarding the length of the position.
Working hours are scheduled for awake nights, both on weekdays and weekends. Shifts are scheduled between 00:00–07:15.
For the right person, there are good opportunities for extension after the end of the temporary assignment. The formal employment type for the temporary assignment itself is "as long as the assistance assignment lasts," with a fixed end date.
Before you start your schedule and work independently, you will undergo a paid introduction/orientation together with the client. During the orientation period, you will receive a separate agreement for a fixed-term hourly employment with a fixed end date.
Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other benefits occur according to the collective agreement.
Start date is by agreement. The temporary assignment starts in August.
