Welcome to Hissjövägen in Haga, an LSS service housing for users with intellectual disabilities. Eight users live here who need support in their daily lives.
We are now looking for a colleague to join our team at Hissjövägen who wants to make a difference together with colleagues and other professionals!
Your Responsibilities
As a support assistant, you will guide and support individuals with intellectual and psychiatric disabilities in their daily lives. You offer individual, social, and practical support to enable and utilize the individuals' own abilities, thereby creating conditions for independence.
You work to make individuals active participants in their daily lives and to have a meaningful leisure time and/or occupation. Common tasks include supporting users with approved interventions such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, personal care/hygiene, medication, and social activities. You plan, follow up, and contribute to implementing improvements together with colleagues.
The work also includes record keeping, documentation in Treserva, and working goal-oriented with individual implementation plans to increase goal achievement.
Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, and night shift. Joint planning may take place between our operations.
About You
You have a genuine interest in disability care, and your work style is characterized by flexibility, continuity, and security. We are looking for you who have a good ability to create and maintain structure and who want to be involved in developing the operations. You are engaged and have a desire to share our values and to work towards set goals as well as working with continuous improvements.
To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, read and write care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Lifting heavy loads occurs, so transfer aids must be used.
Smoking/pets occur at the workplace, so you should not be allergic.
Requirements:
- Educated as a preschool teacher, assistant nurse, social worker, or other education that the employer considers equivalent
- A few years of experience working with planning, evaluation, identification of deviations, and implementation of interventions within disability care
Merits:
- Education or experience within the Positive Behavior Support method
