We are now looking for a Support Assistant for Aros Bak and Indoor Well-being!
Aros is a day activity center consisting of several units, most located in the same building at Carlshem, but we also have a group based in the Nydala area. The target group has neuropsychiatric disabilities, mental health issues and/or co-occurring disorders. Other disabilities and various addiction diseases are also present.
Day activities should contribute to personal development and promote participation in society based on the participant's needs and conditions. The activity should include habilitation, opportunities for development, and production-oriented tasks. This is to enable meaningful occupation according to current legislation. The overall goal of day activities is to develop the individual's independence, create a sense of coherence, and provide opportunities for work.
At Aros Bak and Indoor Well-being, participants work with household tasks such as baking, washing dishes, cleaning, and laundry care. We deliver coffee and pastries based on orders from private individuals, associations, and companies.
Your responsibilities
You plan, structure, support, supervise, and develop assignments and work tasks based on each individual's needs, with the goal of creating a meaningful and stimulating daily life. The work is characterized by flexibility, development, and security.
You are also responsible for various administrative tasks, such as documentation, medical record keeping, and drawing up implementation plans. Follow-up and evaluation are a natural part of the work process. We particularly value the ability to meet the target group in a professional and respectful manner. Another central part of the role is to lead and work together with participants to meet different customers' orders, with a focus on creating good conditions for increased independence and participation.
The activity works systematically with the following methods:
- Supported Employment (SE) with emphasis on ABK (basic requirements of working life)
- An Independent Life (ESL)
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Heavy lifting occurs, so mobility aids must be used.
- Smoking occurs at the workplace, so you should not be allergic.
- Joint planning with other activities within disability care may occur.
About you
You have good collaboration skills and a professional attitude towards participants, relatives, and other actors. You are engaged, share our values, and work purposefully with a focus on continuous improvement. Since the activity involves many different activities, it is important that you have good initiative, are curious, and can make independent decisions. You also need to be able to participate actively in outdoor activities regardless of the weather, and handle physically demanding moments when necessary. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
To be able to communicate with users and colleagues, write and access care documentation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Requirements:
- Graduation from the Care and Nursing Program, Social Work Program, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
- Experience working with the target group
- Category B driver's license
Merits:
- Experience or interest in working in a bakery or kitchen
- Experience working in day activities or other work where you supervise
- Knowledge and experience of Supported Employment (SE)
- Knowledge and experience of Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Knowledge and experience of An Independent Life (ESL)
