We are looking for a Category Buyer - Painted Plastics & Airvents for a global automotive company in Jönköping. The start date is September 1st, with an initial 1-year fixed-term contract. This role is 100% onsite in Gothenburg.

Assignment description

The Category Buyer secures supply and delivers cost efficiency and additional value in sourcing programs by participating in and executing Commodity Business Plans, and by maintaining a clear view of business demands as well as the supplier market.

Main responsibilities

• Adopt a total cost approach by delivering cost savings, cash flow improvements, and added-value enhancements
• Anchors and executes Commodity Business Plans, e.g., identifying and leading key programs to achieve cost-saving targets and setting the supplier base portfolio based on market and business needs
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers within the area
• Prepare and effectuate RFI/RFQ together with Stakeholders within the area
• Conduct market, supplier, and spend analysis to stay on top of the area and perform strategic sourcing initiatives

Required qualifications

• University degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience
• Solid track record in negotiation, commercial, and contractual matters
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Professional experience in multi-sourcing
