The Finance Unit is responsible for and coordinates financial administration, accounting, planning and follow-up issues, as well as procurement and purchasing for the entire university. The Finance Unit consists of approximately 50 employees who work, among other things, with internal control and governance, planning processes, accounting, and procurement.

The Procurement Section is one of five sections within the Finance Unit and consists of five employees and a manager. We are now looking for a procurement specialist who wants to contribute and develop together with competent and engaged colleagues. We are located in centrally located, bright premises on Rosenlundsgatan, next to Feskekörka.

Job Description

The Procurement Section conducts all procurements above the direct procurement threshold. The procurements include both framework agreements and purchase agreements, for example goods, services, and advanced research equipment. The work is carried out in both Swedish and English. The university uses the procurement support TendSign and the e-commerce system Visma Proceedo.

In the role of procurement specialist, you are responsible for independently driving procurements through the entire process, from needs and market analysis to procurement strategy, implementation, and follow-up. You act as a qualified support to the operations in procurement and contract issues and contribute to the development of strategic purchasing work.

The role also involves:

  • Providing guidance on issues related to procurement and contracts
  • Collaborating with departments, faculties, and other units within the university
  • Promoting purchases that are sustainable, efficient, and business-like
  • Conducting internal training within the university
  • Coordinating and handling several different procurement processes and projects simultaneously

Other tasks may occur, and the content of the position may change over time.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • A relevant university degree or university college education with a focus on law, economics, purchasing, or public procurement, or other work experience that the employer considers equivalent
  • Several years of experience in qualified procurement work within the public sector and good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU), including experience of independently driving larger procurements
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as well as good knowledge of English

Employment

The employment is a permanent full-time position (100%) located at the Finance Unit on Rosenlundsgatan in central Gothenburg. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. Probationary period may apply.
