Description

Do you want to make a difference and support operations that work with socially important assignments? At the Communications Unit in Bollnäs Municipality, we work both strategically and operationally within the entire communications field. Our task is to lead, coordinate, follow up on, and develop the municipality's work with internal and external communication, crisis communication, and brands. We act as advisors and support operations with communication planning, and we produce communication materials for the municipality's channels, based on the target groups' needs and conditions.

Two of our employees will be working on other assignments for a period, so we need you who want to be part of our team, where you will work broadly within the communications field.

Tasks

• Communication support and advice to managers and operations.
• Plan, implement, and follow up on communication efforts.
• Develop communication plans and secure buy-in from responsible parties.
• Write and publish content for the web, intranet, and social media.
• Ensure that communication is accessible and complies with laws and guidelines, such as clear language and accessibility requirements.

Depending on needs, the role may also involve:

• Producing simple graphic material, photos, or video.
• Communication support in projects and change management.
• Advising on media issues and contributing to the municipality's crisis communication.

The employees at the Communications Unit share responsibility for a functional mailbox that operations can send needs and requests to. The mailbox is monitored during office hours: 08:00 – 16:30.

Qualifications

We are looking for an independent and confident communicator who can handle cases from start to finish. You need to have knowledge and experience in planning communication efforts based on needs and desired effects, and you should be able to advise managers and operations on communication and media issues.

You have at least two years of experience working with communication, preferably in the public sector. When producing communication materials, it is natural for you to adapt the content to different channels, with the target group's perspective and conditions in focus.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in media and communication science or another education that the employer deems equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in communication work.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and a good ability to write clear and target-group-adapted texts.
• Experience with web publishing and work in digital channels.
• Experience with web publishing in Sitevision.
• Good knowledge of Adobe programs: InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

• Communication work in the public sector.
• Advising managers on communication and media issues.
• Crisis communication.
• Accessibility adaptation (WCAG) and clear language.

Conditions

Working hours can be arranged flexibly, based on the needs of the operations. Part-time work, for example, could mean half-time every day or three full days one week and two days the next. The planning is done in dialogue with you and the responsible manager, to ensure it is practical for you and that the unit gets an even resource distribution during the week.

You can work part of your working hours remotely. In our team, we try to be on-site one common day a week to maintain our sense of group and community.
