Land Surveyor of Sweden Seeks Information Developer with Focus on Information Security

The Land Surveyor of Sweden (Lantmäteriet) is the authority responsible for mapping Sweden. Our tasks also include registering and securing the ownership of all real estate properties as well as managing their boundaries. We are now looking for you who have a strong commitment to society.

In order for houses, bridges, and roads to be built, knowledge of Sweden's geography and real estate is required. By mapping reality and providing up-to-date information about the country's topography and infrastructure, you contribute to the foundation of a sustainable and functioning society.

Job Description

The Real Estate Information unit sees a need to recruit an information developer with senior competence focusing on information security for the real estate registry (text and map). As an information developer, you will be part of a team responsible for information security governance for the entire unit. You will join a small but growing team working with information security. There is a great opportunity to influence the team's development and to develop processes and work related to information security.

The role involves maintaining and developing information security work within the administration, conducting information classification and risk analyses, implementing governing documents and routines, and monitoring the external environment within the area of work. Additionally, you will support operations in matters concerning information security, information management, and risk management. Some documentation is also included in the tasks.

The job includes holding meetings with external contacts, which means domestic travel may occur in the work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic education with a focus on IT, information management, information security, or another direction deemed relevant for the position, or alternatively work experience that we assess as equivalent.

You have experience with database queries and are accustomed to analyzing results. Furthermore, information security is close to your heart, and you have several years of experience working in the field and have worked with security protection according to Swedish security protection legislation. Developing and creating processes and governing documents is something you have experience with from previous work. You are good at communicating and have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have experience working in the public sector. If you also have experience in following up and auditing the effectiveness and appropriateness of implemented information security measures, this is also meritorious.

Lack of pretension, high integrity, and good teamwork skills are important to us in the team. You also have a good ability to independently plan and drive your work to completion.

The position is security-classified, which means you must be a Swedish citizen and a security check with register control and a security screening interview will be conducted before employment.
