We are looking for a social secretary who wants to work according to Signs of Safety
We have the ambition to have a well-developed and stable operation that works for both our clients and our employees. To achieve this, we have a well-staffed social services department with high competence, which we see as a prerequisite for providing good social work. The Child and Family Unit consists of two parts. An authority part and an executive part. At the Child and Family Authority, our case workers work with reception, investigation and follow-up of open measures, as well as case workers for follow-up of placements, a total of 11 employees. Here you will also find our two family home secretaries. The Child and Family Executive includes our open care and family center with a total of 10 employees. The unit also shares a social administrator who provides administrative support to the operation. The groups each have a unit manager who are both social workers with case handling experience.
At our unit, there is broad, solid competence and all roles in the operation are important. We are good at helping each other and collaborating across boundaries. The entire Individual and Family Care in Töreboda Municipality works from the approach Signs of Safety. Signs of Safety is a safety-oriented, collaboration-driven and strength-based approach. We are looking for you who want to join us to consolidate and continue to develop the operation in this approach and who want to expand your knowledge and methods in social work. We are primarily looking for a case worker for investigation and open measures. However, if you, or we, feel that handling placed children and young people is more interesting or suits you better, there may be an opportunity to work with these tasks instead. The work requires that you have good knowledge of the Social Services Act, LVU, the Parental Code and social services work. You are responsible in your work and have a good ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others. You must be flexible and able to handle acute situations. You have a good ability to express yourself both orally and in writing and have a good analytical ability. As a person, you are sensitive, positive and solution-oriented. Good treatment and empathy for people in difficult situations is a matter of course for you. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. Driving license B is a requirement.
Job Description
You are responsible for the work with preliminary assessments and, after application or report, to investigate and assess the needs of children and families for support and protection and to propose suitable measures. In the open measures that are granted, you are responsible for following the change process in the family and that the right support is given so that goals in the treatment work are met. The work involves exercising authority and case handling according to SoL and LVU.
Qualifications
The work requires a social work degree and preferably previous experience of working within child/youth case handling or similar. Meritorious is previous work with exercising authority as well as experience of working according to Signs of Safety. Experience of treatment work with children and families is also highly valued.
At our company, we apply freedom under responsibility and we offer flextime and the possibility to work from home up to two days a week. We follow the Social Services Board's introduction program for new case workers and each work group has regular supervision. We apply regular work load measurement to ensure a reasonable workload over time. The unit has high management presence with close work leadership from both managers.
As a social worker within IFO Child and Family, you can expect a salary between 33,000 - 50,000 SEK depending on experience and competence, individual salary setting is applied.
