Student Assistant for Adapted Primary School at Edsbergsskolan (60%)

Edsbergsskolan is a lower secondary school with the vision of "safe students who thrive in school and are well prepared for the future". The school consists of two parts: a primary school for grades 7–9 with just under 300 students and an adapted primary school for grades 7–9 with around 30 students. In the adapted primary school, we work with students who have an intellectual disability and need a safe, structured, and individually adapted learning environment.

This is a permanent position at 60% with a start in August or as agreed.

Responsibilities

As a student assistant in the adapted primary school, you work closely with students who need support in both their academic and social development. You support students in teaching, help create clear routines and a predictable daily life, and contribute to a safe and accessible learning environment by working with individual adaptations. The work involves using various forms of communication support, assisting students in practical tasks, and collaborating closely with teachers, student health services, and other staff to ensure that every student receives the right support in both teaching situations and social contexts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have adequate education for work in an adapted primary school or experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working with students in an adapted primary school or with students who have extensive support needs. You are secure, sensitive, and relationship-building in your approach and have the ability to create structure, stability, and calm for students who need a clearly adapted school environment. You thrive in close collaboration with colleagues and have a strong commitment to contributing to students' development, participation, and independence.
