Medically Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR) with Clinical Duties
In Österlen, we create the conditions for a high quality of life, where Tomelilla Municipality is a place for inspiration and development. The municipality has approximately 800 employees, and we offer you excellent opportunities for professional development, involvement through trust, and the possibility to balance work and leisure.
We are currently on a development journey focused on streamlining and improving our services. Our ambition is to be leaders in leveraging the opportunities provided by digitalization. In short – we want to make life easy for everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Tomelilla Municipality.
We are now looking for a Medically Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR) who will also work clinically as a physiotherapist or occupational therapist within our rehabilitation activities according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). At our organization, development work is underway to meet current and future challenges, with a clear focus on those we serve.
At the Rehabilitation Unit, the municipality's physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation assistants work with rehabilitation as well as preventive and early interventions. The unit plays a central role in the municipality's adaptation to the new Social Services Act and collaborates closely with other units within healthcare and social care.
1 position(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
As MAR, you have the overall municipal responsibility for ensuring safe, equal, and appropriate healthcare and rehabilitation. You work in close collaboration with the Medical Responsible for Nursing Care (MAS) and the Unit Manager. The responsibilities include, among other things:
- Patient Safety and Quality: Ensuring that interventions within rehabilitation and habilitation are carried out in accordance with current laws, such as the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the Patient Safety Act.
- Procedure Development: Establishing and updating guidelines, routines, and methods to ensure the quality of operations.
- Deviation Management: Investigating serious incidents and, if necessary, reporting them to the Swedish Inspectorate of Care (IVO).
- Support and Supervision: Acting as an expert and providing support to the municipality's managers and providers within the rehabilitation field.
- Collaboration: Cooperating with external actors, primarily Region Skåne, to create a cohesive care chain, for example within the framework of good and close care.
In the role of physiotherapist/occupational therapist, you work with assessing, planning, implementing, and following up on rehabilitative interventions based on the individual's needs and prerequisites. The work is team-based and involves close collaboration with other professions such as nurses, managers, care staff, and assistance handlers to create conditions for increased independence, involvement, and quality of life.
The work is located both in ordinary housing and in special housing.
The work is currently divided 50% MAR and 50% physiotherapist/occupational therapist, but this may change over time.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist with experience in rehabilitation and an interest in strategic development. You have good knowledge of the Health and Medical Services Act as well as the Social Services Act.
We would appreciate it if you had experience working within a municipal HSL organization. Knowledge of digitalization and change management is meritorious.
Previous experience as MAR is meritorious.
As a person, you are solution-focused, flexible, and have good collaboration skills. You thrive in working close to operations and have a desire to lead change.
You have good collaboration skills and an interest in building good relationships, both with patients, relatives, and colleagues. We also require that you are computer literate and that you speak and write Swedish fluently.
A manual driving license (Category B) is a requirement.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date according to agreement.
Tomelilla Municipality has a smoke-free workplace.
Employees are sought on the condition that the position is not required to be taken by already employed staff or persons with priority rights.
