Parkskolan is a municipal school covering grades 4–9, as well as after-school activities for grades 4–6. There are currently 350 students enrolled at the school. Parkskolan is located within a convenient walking distance from Östersund city center and borders a park-like area. At Parkskolan, we work daily to develop our operations, among other things through collegial learning and relational leadership. You will work with colleagues with broad competence, where there are great opportunities for exchange and development.
We are now looking for a substitute teacher at 70% who has a good approach, a strong commitment to the students, and wants to make a difference in everyday life!
Job Responsibilities
At Parkskolan, we constantly strive to develop our operations, placing the student's development and learning at the center. At our school, you will work with engaged and competent colleagues, where opportunities for experience sharing and continuous development are always present.
We are now looking for a teacher with a strong desire to make a difference in the students' school day. In this role, you will teach mathematics for grades 7–9, together with a teaching colleague. You will also teach students in grades 4–9 in the school's study garden two days a week. The position offers you a broad and varied assignment with many interesting challenges.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a teaching license according to Chapter 2, Section 16 of the Swedish Education Act and are qualified to teach mathematics for grades 4–9. You have pedagogical insight, i.e., you are familiar with the school's mission and operations. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you are also qualified in additional subjects.

You who have clear leadership skills and the ability to capture and inspire the group you teach. As a person, we are looking for you who is a secure and clear adult, and who has a good understanding that many students need support and structure, both in knowledge development and in social interaction, to succeed in their school day. You are structured, flexible, and confident in your professional role, with the ability to prioritize with the student's best interest in focus.
It is of great importance that you can create good, secure relationships, set boundaries, and work independently. At the same time, the position places high demands on cooperation skills, as it involves close collaboration with students, colleagues, and guardians. In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Substitute position at 70% for the period August 10 to December 18, 2026 (possibility of extension may become relevant if the need persists).
