Funäsdalens School has approximately 260 students in grades F–9, along with an associated after-school center. The school is beautifully situated in the middle of the village at the foot of Funäsdalsberget. We are close to cross-country ski tracks, sports fields, and the gondola that takes us up to the mountain hut. The proximity to nature influences our operations in various ways, and the school literally offers ski-in/ski-out access.

We are now looking for a teacher for Physical Education and Health for grades 1–9. There may also be an opportunity to work part-time as a resource teacher for grades 4–6. This is a fixed-term position with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

Your main task is to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching according to the curriculum. You collaborate closely with colleagues and focus on the students' knowledge development. You are part of a work team where you participate actively and contribute your own ideas and previous experience. You are flexible and work systematically to create a clear and stimulating learning environment. With a creative approach, you succeed in capturing and creating a desire to learn based on different students' needs. We use digital tools in teaching, which means you need to have good IT skills.

Qualifications

A teaching license and good knowledge of the school's governing documents are required.

For this position, a certificate of good conduct (extract from the police record) is a prerequisite for employment.

You have good leadership skills both inside and outside the classroom, rooted in the school's curriculum and core values. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt teaching so that all students achieve results. You are a person who can both give and receive help and support.
