Vallaskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F–9) on the island of Frösön with approximately 574 students. The school is beautifully situated with magnificent views of the mountain world. Our common goal is that all our students leave Vallaskolan with good knowledge and a strong belief in themselves and their own abilities.

Responsibilities

You will work as a mathematics teacher in our working group for grades 7–9.

• Plan and conduct teaching in mathematics.
• Collaborate and develop teaching together with your subject colleagues.
• Collaborate with the working group regarding students and teaching.
• Mentoring is included in the position.
• Participate in our systematic quality work regarding analysis of knowledge, security, and well-being.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Licensed teacher in mathematics.
• Good proficiency in the Swedish language.

Meritorious

• Good IT skills and experience working with digital tools in teaching.
• Experience working as a teacher (meritorious but not a requirement).
• Previous experience of work within the school sector.
• Knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in daily work.

Competencies

We see that you have good experience working towards set goals, follow up on results regarding your teaching, and adjust it so that students reach their knowledge goals. You have good insight into students' different prerequisites and adapt your teaching to the group's and the individual's needs. You are clear in your relationships with students, and you are a secure and stable adult. You have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues and drive the development of teaching together with them. You have good structure and can create clear plans for your teaching.
