About the Cultural School

Strömsund Municipality's Cultural School currently has six teachers and approximately 420 students in subject courses, as well as music play. We currently offer teaching on various instruments, singing, animation, music production, and dance. Together with our students, we are part of the municipality's cultural activities and offer our residents joy and a richer cultural life.

The municipality's large geographical size means that the position involves a lot of car travel.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who are passionate about providing top-class piano and vocal education to the cultural school's students. You will work together with the rest of the staff at the cultural school.

The work includes:

• Independently planning and conducting your teaching
• Being able to meet students with different backgrounds and different prerequisites
• Leading, motivating, and educating students in piano and singing.
• Together with the rest of the staff, planning and carrying out various projects in the name of the cultural school

Qualifications

Relevant education from a university college of music or other education or work experience assessed as equivalent.

• Pedagogical experience as a piano teacher and vocal coach.
• Good skills in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of using digital tools for communication and student management.

You should be self-reliant, able to take your own initiatives, and have a good ability to cooperate, as well as a great interest in working with children and young people. If you also have any additional secondary instrument, knowledge of other cultural expressions, that is a bonus we would like to know more about.

Driver's license B and access to a personal car.

Employment type: Permanent employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-01 Or by agreement, end date: 2027-08-31.
