Bensbyn Preschool would like to welcome you, preschool teacher, to join us. For us, the value of participation is important for both our adult and young staff members. We need you who want to be involved in our ongoing development work. The preschool is organized with age-separated sections. Through age-appropriate, inspiring, and varied environments, we support and challenge children's play, exploration, and learning in different ways. We also see the outdoor environment as an important learning place.

Bensbyn Preschool belongs to the Björkskatan preschool area. We have close cooperation between all the preschools in the area. The principals and educators work together on many different issues with a strive to develop not just equal but equivalent education for all children. Collaboration is based on educators meeting in different network constellations, learning from each other to acquire and deepen new knowledge. We lead each other together. Based on current development areas, joint further education is offered for all educators, including workshops, literature seminars, and lectures. You can also join one of our focus groups, which are responsible for deepening, developing, and sharing specific knowledge.

We work with a project-based approach with a common project title, together with the children's curiosity. The project-based learning is characterized by listening educators who design exploratory teaching that both challenges and encourages children's inherent strength and curiosity. For us, aesthetic forms of expression are important tools for children's learning in both projects and daily teaching.

At Björkskatan, a pedagogical supervisor and a pedagogist work to support and challenge educators' learning processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool teacher, you play a crucial role in children's development and well-being. You will have a multifaceted role and work closely with childcare assistants and other staff at the preschool to create a safe, stimulating, and accessible education for the children. Your main responsibilities include:

• ensuring goal-directed processes take place and conducting teaching together with childcare assistants, where children's participation and influence are central
• ensuring that teaching in the preschool takes place in accordance with the goals in the curriculum
• planning, implementing, and developing teaching together in the work team and for the entire preschool
• ensuring that the preschool's learning environments offer variation where children can further develop their skills in an accessible learning environment for care, play, movement, health, development, and learning

You work to create safe and trusting relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are educated and licensed as a preschool teacher with the eligibility to teach in preschool, as well as having good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have professional experience from working in a preschool as well as if you have knowledge in one of our minority languages or in another language.

As a person, you need to be structured and able to plan, organize, and complete your work. To succeed in the role, it is required that you have the ability to meet the needs of different children, to create good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues, and that you value collaboration and strive for common success. Your creative ability to think outside the box when needed is also important.
